Does anyone know of any good aftermarket firmware for Canaan Avalon 1566I 261T
I just got a couple devices and been playing with them and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them?
They are great at putting out hash! They are running right under 20 amps around 4720 watts and usually putting out closer to 265T
They seem to run good around 74C but the firmware is pretty basic, and the power levels don’t seem to make any sense.
WOW, almost 9.5kw!! That’s a lot of power! I don’t know of any better firmware, but i am curious about what rudimentary controls you have with these machines? Are they like WhatsMiners that have a economy/normal/high setting?
They have high performance mode normal and power level mode. The power level mode has you entering a number to overclock or under clock but I’m just not sure how it works. I put both machines on power level 4 and one will run at 170t and the other will be at 200t. I think it has to do with temperature because Ive noticed the machine closer to the injection side on the C2 tank runs a little cooler.
Avalon has recently opened sourced their firmware for these on git hub. This’ll be above my skill level if anyone wants to join in and help
