:fire: What is “heatpunk”?

“Heatpunk” is an open-source term that describes builders, tinkerers, and innovators using Bitcoin mining hardware to generate useful heat — for homes, greenhouses, water heating, industrial applications, and more. Anyone can use the term. It belongs to no one. It’s a banner for a movement.

:receipt: What license applies to forum content?

Unless otherwise noted, all forum content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license. This means you’re free to use, adapt, and build upon the knowledge here — as long as you give proper credit and share your adaptations under the same license.

:shield: Can I use the “Hashrate Heatpunks” name or logo?

No. While the term “heatpunk” is open-source, the community name “Hashrate Heatpunks” and its logo are part of a specific project managed by The Space.

You may not use the name, branding, or logo to create separate communities or imply endorsement or affiliation without express permission.

If you’re starting your own heatpunk initiative, we encourage it — just use your own name, logo, and identity.

:megaphone: Can I promote my product or service here?

Yes — but keep it relevant. If your project, tool, firmware, product, or service is part of the hashrate heating industry, you’re welcome to share it. Just make sure to post it in the correct category and include technical or educational value.
